Highland Park, IL – October 23, 2017: The Highland Park Community Foundation held its annual grant awards reception on Wednesday, October 18th at the Highland Park Community House.

The Foundation, established in 1992 to provide support and expand the services of social, cultural, and educational agencies in Highland Park and Highwood, awarded nearly 183,000, up almost 8% over last year, to 35 non-profit community agencies and programs.

“I’m proud to announce the appointment of the Highland Park Community Foundation’s first Executive Director, Terri Olian,” said Peter Flanzer, Chairman of the Highland Park Community Foundation. “We decided to add this new leadership position to enable us to accelerate the growth of the Foundation and elevate its profile within the community while continuing its important mission of providing funds to the organizations that support the residents of Highland Park and Highwood. With Terri at the helm, I have every confidence in our ability to create new avenues for HPCF to achieve its mission and leverage its involvement with in the community.”

The Tribune Local Edition reported on the range of organizations funded by the Highland Park Community Foundation.
