While many organizations reached out on Giving Tuesday, we chose to wait—to honor the fact that generosity happens on your timeline, in the ways that feel most meaningful to you.
Today, we want to say thank you, share what your generosity makes possible, and let you know how you can continue strengthening our community as we close out 2025.
Your support strengthens Highland Park and Highwood every single day of the year. It fuels our mission to ensure that all residents—children, families, older adults, and individuals with disabilities—have what they need not just to get by, but to truly thrive.
As we look toward 2026, the realities facing our community are shifting. Many of our grantees face serious new hurdles, including changes in public policy, economic instability, and disruptions to funding streams. These same pressures make it harder for residents to access early childhood education programs, affordable legal services, mental health care, and even basic necessities like nutritious food.
